World Vision Sponsorship; this is thought to be a great idea by people to send money over sea’s to the ‘less fortunate’ families who can’t afford clean water, food, clothing, knowledge, etc.  but I’ve seen that when money is sent over, they spend it on the wrong things, for example it could be money sent over so that they could own a sewing machine or a class for the woman to learn how to make their own clothing, it was spent on something that is totally unnecessary and is useless to these people.  Another idea for these sponsorships is to actually bring these families over to a country with more money to help.  Build them a little town and just help them to get jobs, and learn etc.  or you could do a program to send a child to a temporary home with a family who can help them grow and learn etc.

It has come to my attention that the money that we send over is being used for unappropriated objects.  I was sending money over to put a child into school, and it was used to adopt an animal, which wasn’t taken proper care of and had to be taken away from you and put into a responsible home where it could be taken care of and fed.  If I were running your organisation, which will go to use, I would put in classes that would help the woman learn how to sew, to make clothes for every one, or learn how to prapair food properly so that disease wont be spread, or to put the men into an area and show them the basic ways of building, or taking care of others, and how to bring up their children.  If this was put into use i am positive it would have a better out look on their lives.  People would send money to buy tools, and sewing machines, and material, and food etc. or they would send the objects itself.  Hope fully this will be a wake up call for you all, and you will be able to change your previous ways and make it a better life for all.

 Connor McCreaddie is slowly eating himself to death… At eight years of age, is topping the sclaes at 99kg.

Connor weiging over three times of the normal average eight year old is slowly eating himself to a grave.  Yet his parents are refusing to let him be taken away so that they can get him back to a resonable health, and they wont change their lifestyle. 

Children around the age of ten are being sent to weight watches so that they can slim down and go back to being healthy and fit.

It stands out to people about the obesity of children, but half the time, the childs parent/s don’t relise that their kid/s are obese, they see it as tender loving, and their children get what they want when they want, even if it’s to the state of killing them.

In my oppinion, I think it is cruel that people / parents can allow their children to get to this state.  To be so phisically obese, and they wont do anything to fix their own childs well being.

All in all, this is now being considered as child abuse.

This is a book that we are reading in year 9 English, The Simple Gift. 

It’s about a boy, Billy, who runs away from home and finds himself living in an old abandoned carrige in the train yards.  He doesn’t have a job until he meets and old man who helps him along the way.  He goes to MacDonald’s to eat peoples left over scraps and reads old magazines and newspapers, which is where he meets Caitlin.  His future GF. 

Caitlin is a waitress at MacDonalds and mops the floors and cleans up after hours.  She spots Billy there eating left overs and feel sorry for him, and doesn’t know what he has done wrong to deserve that.  As she is a rich, private school, everything in her hands for no cost kind of girl.  The only reason she is working is so that she doesn’t feel guilty, and she can earn money for collage.

He meets an old man, Old Bill, who also lives in the carriges; the carrige next to Billy’s.  Old Bill is like a future Billy, he still owns a house but doesn’t go there as it haunts his memories of his wife and daughter who both died a year apart from eachother.  His daughter Jessy falls out of a tree and is in a comer, and then dies, and then his wife dies in a drink driving inccadent, exactly one year later.  Old Bill is a retired old drunk.  He doesn’t want anything out of life, and when he does get something, or money, he puts it towards alcohole.

We have only read about 7 Chapters.  All in all it is a pretty good book.

Yr 9.

Just like any other year, but more confusing.  The start of it anyway.  Stuffing up your classes, losing names on rolls.  The things that hold you back in what you try and succeed in.

The only exitment for school is seeing everyone!! hehe

I met Lauren at the side gate in Samuel st.  Then Shannon, Siobhan, Erin, Dani & Milly met us there. hehe so exciting lol.  We stood out there for about 20 minutes and then we went in to see all of the others.  Talked to the guys on the bball courts before we had to go into the hall to recieve diary’s and lectures.

They stuffed up a few of the electives and changed things from the second semester to the first.

Drought.

It’s not the best thing in the world, but I don’t think it has kicked in strong enough to make a definet final point to everyone.  Sure, they have those call in line things to call to so that you complain about some one doing the wrong thing, but who wants to sit around all day picking on little insignifficant things that some people do.  Then have the phone bill be bought to attention.

Some one said to me the other day about the flood that happened in both Queensland and India or Asia or some where like that, and they said to me “Gee, we need one of those right about now” , and i thought to myself, that would be as bad as the drought that we have at the moment.  Sure it might fix the drought, but then everyone would be complaining that there is too much damage because of the flood [[ ie. houses and public places ruined ]] and all the money that would be spent on the damages and ruins.  Sooner or later some one would come out with ‘theres too much water’.

I don’t see why there is such un – helpful things in the word.  Things that hurt people.  Things that damage places. Pointless creations.

Well, I hate writing blogs.  I think it is a pointless version of an e-mail hehe.  To let everyone know about something that they don’t want to talk about in person, which is pretty gutless. 

This thing reminds me of that MySpace, I don’t like that thing.  It confusses me.  My friend Bree & I set one up together, got frustrated and confused, so we shut the whole thing down.  That thing is soooo weird!!  Sort of like this…. Different but easier to understand. 

Another thing that is annoying me, getting up in the morning for school!! Now that i have a so called ‘routeen’ to get up at that time, I don’t sleep in on weekends.  It’s like a really anoying habbit.  From about six weeks of holidays, not having to have a care for a thing, to getting up day in day out, working, fussing, being so… Whatever.

At the moment, it is dead quiet, and all you can here is the continuous typing on the computers.  Annoying.  Heaps of people have head phones and are listening to their music, but nooo, I didn’t think to bring any grrrr.

Well yh…  I do have alot to whinge about but can’t really be bothered!!
